We have received an email from a customer who used the vuShield Security Software to find out why a rat wasn't getting caught in their trap. They discovered that the rat was delicately nibbling at the bait. Their solution was to tie a piece of salami securely to the trap with some hookup wire... Final result = 1 deceased Rat!

Another customer has reported using the vuShield Security Software's Recorder and Scheduler to catch video footage of a local gang blowing up letter boxes in their street.

One of our developers entertained (and educated) his children with a fast playback of recorded images taken of his garden at sunrise. He reported that the video playback clearly showed his plants "waking" up and then tracking the sun, much to his children's delight!

One of our customers has used the Panic Button feature for his elderly mother who lives alone. She only needs to press the Panic Button for 2 seconds and an emergency SMS message is sent to him, his siblings and a neighbour. The system also begins recording images immediately.

One of our customers has her own small video store which she often operates on her own. When she needs to "duck out back" for a few minutes she simply clicks the Push-Button and the vuShield Security system monitors her till and counter until she gets back.
What's Digging Holes in My Garden?	Top of page
One of our customers had a problem with mysterious holes appearing in his garden. A few days monitoring with vuShield exposed the culprits... Some enterprising crows looking for bugs!

One of our customers is a farmer who sells some of his produce from a road-side store with an honour box. He has installed the vuShield Security System to monitor the honour box with a small sign explaining this to his customers. He says that this has virtually eliminated pilfering from the honour box.

The same farmer who operates the honour box has also used the vuShield Security System to monitor insect infestations of his crops. He uses it to quantify and identify the types of insect pests attacking the plants. He also reports that he has further plans to attempt to use it as an alerting system to warn of increased bug activity.
Automated Laboratory Test Rig	Top of page
One of our engineers used the vuShield Security Software to record instrumentation readings every 60 seconds for a three hour experiment. This saved him a considerable amount of time and inconvenience. He only had to step through the recorded images using vuShield' integrated Video Player to read the data.
Fully Automated Security	Top of page
One of our business customers has created a set of schedules to fully automate their security system. During work hours they run a schedule which doesn't enable the Recorder or the Security options so that the system runs as a simple monitor. After hours the Security options are enabled and they receive SMS messages and images as well as uploading any alert images to remote storage. They have also reported that their system has already been used to provide security footage to the local police investigating stolen cars dumped in an adjacent carpark.

A customer who owns a hardware store has reported that they are currently setting up a system to monitor selected inventory items on the shop's shelves. They plan to configure the motion detection grid to assign items to particular grid cells. Any subsequent motion alerts can then be quickly searched using the Alert History motion grid cell search option.

We regularly check in on our office security system using a web browser like Internet Explorer or FireFox to connect to the built-in Web server, or with a remote desktop package like (UltraVNC), to remotely view our security footage in real-time.
